Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute

Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute is a high school located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Founded in the late 19th century, the school was widely known as a highly academic school, and was designed to look much like a university.
Among the school's more well-known graduates is Bill Norrie, who served as Winnipeg's 39th Mayor from 1979 to 1992. While at the school, Norrie was elected school president, won the Governor General's Academic Medal and was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford.
Guess Who guitarist Kurt Winter also attended the school. A scholarship in Winter's name has been presented annually at the school since 1998.
The school is named after Daniel McIntyre, Winnipeg's first school superintendent.
