Daniel Morgan Parkinson


Daniel Morgan Parkinson was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.

Biography

Parkinson was born on October 20, 1790 in Carter County, Tennessee. After serving in the Winnebago War, Parkinson moved to New Diggings, Wisconsin in 1827. Parkinson later served as an officer during the Black Hawk War before moving to Willow Springs, Wisconsin in 1833. He died on October 1, 1868.
His son, Peter Parkinson, was also a member of the Assembly.

Political career

Parkinson was a member of the lower house of the legislature of the Wisconsin Territory from 1836 to 1838 and again from 1840 to 1842. In 1849, he was a member of the Assembly. He was a Democrat.
