David G. Turner


David G. Turner is a Canadian astronomer and professor in the department of astronomy & physics at Saint Mary's University. He was the editor of the Journal of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada from 1995-2000, and continues as review editor. His research interests include, and are not limited to: stellar evolution, Cepheid variables and Open Clusters. He is one of the foremost authorities on the North Star, Polaris. Asteroid 27810 Daveturner was named in his honor by Carolyn S. Shoemaker and David H. Levy.
