Decadence is the debut studio album by American rock band Head Automatica.

Background

The album was produced by Dan 'The Automator' Nakamura and Howard Benson.

Release

On June 27, 2004, Decadence was announced for release in August. In early August, the band filmed a video for "Beating Heart Baby" during their performance at CBGB's in New York. Decadence was released in 2004 through Warner Bros. Records. In October and November, the band supported The Used on their headlining tour of the US. "Beating Heart Baby" was released to radio on February 22, 2005 and again on July 19. On June 28, a music video was released for "Please Please Please ".

Reception

Decadence debuted at No. 10 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart and reached a peak position of #125 on the UK Albums Chart. By February 2006, the album had sold over 89,000 copies.
