Detlavs Brantkalns - politician and military officer from Latvia. He was born on June 24, 1898 and died on July 8, 1979 in Riga. He graduated from the Vystrel course. He was awarded the Order of Kutuzov, the Medal "Veteran of the Armed Forces of the USSR", the Order of Kutuzov, 2nd class, the Order of the October Revolution, the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner, the Jubilee Medal "XX Years of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army", the Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945", the Order of Suvorov, 2nd class.
