Dharmendra Pradhan


Dharmendra Debendra Pradhan is BJP leader and currently the Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Minister of Steel in the Second Modi Ministry. He was previously also the Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in the First Modi Ministry. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in March 2018 from Madhya Pradesh. Pradhan was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Deogarh constituency of Odisha. Shri Dharmendra Pradhan was also a member of 12th Assembly of Odisha elected from Pallalhara constituency. He is also a member of ABVP. He is the son of Former Union Minister and Senior BJP Leader Debendra Pradhan.
Pradhan is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In addition to being a General Secretary, he was assigned additional responsibility to look after the party activities in Jharkhand in August 2011. Dharmendra Pradhan is close aide and a trusted confidant of Prime minister Narendra Modi, BJP party President Amit Shah and was one of the Chief Architects for the victory of BJP in Bihar in the Lok Sabha election of 2014.

In May 2019, Pradhan continued his Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and got the Ministry of Steel.
