Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan had been the chief of Nepal Police during the Maoist's Insurgency.
Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan had been appointed Inspector General of Police in 1997 A.D., but was then replaced by his predecessor, Achyut Krishna Kharel, due to certain "political instabilities ", before again becoming IGP.
As of 2014, Former IGP Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan, is a leader of Rastriya Prajatantra Party and the President of the Nepal Olympic Committee.
