Diego Puyo


Diego Puyo is an auto racing driver from Spain.

Career history

Puyo started out in karting before stepping up to Spanish Formula Three in 2001. However, he failed to impress in his 8 races over two years and moved to the Italian Formula Renault Championship in 2003, scoring 6 points in 8 races.
Puyo was absent from motorsport until 2007, when he raced in the Spanish SEAT Leon Supercopa, finishing tenth in the standings. He moved to the new SEAT León Eurocup in 2008, finishing eighth in the championship. In 2009 he was the top-scorer at the second round of the season at Brno, meaning he won the chance to race in the next round of the World Touring Car Championship at Porto for SUNRED Engineering.
