Dino Terragni


Dino Terragni was an Italian entrepreneur and inventor. In 1953 he founded one of the biggest conglomerate in the world plastic sector along with Marco Terragni and Felice Zosi Covema.

Early life

He was born in 1927 in Paderno Dugnano. His parents were Ercole Terragni and Enrichetta Strada. His family faced an unstable economic situation. He acquired adequate education. In the 1950s he met Felice Zosi at the plastic fair in Milan with whom he began working on the production and sale of machinery for processing plastic.
In 1953 the two together with Marco Terragni founded Covema in Milan, with the intention of selling the machinery that Luigi Bandera was developing. The firm began to produce extrusion lines.

Death

On 21 July 1979 Dino Terragni died due to a heart attack while in Geneva on a business trip.
