Biography

Born October 13, 1968 in Khabarovsk. Comes from a family of hereditary military.
He graduated from the Moscow Higher Military Command School, having received a diploma and the rank of lieutenant in a festive atmosphere on the Red Square of Moscow.
Since 1990, he served in the KGB of the USSR, and after its reorganization in 1991, he served in the state security bodies of the Russian Federation. He was awarded the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" IV degree.
In 2010, he ensured the safety of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on his trip from Khabarovsk to Chita.

In 2013, he joined the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, where he became an assistant to the Minister of the Interior Vladimir Kolokoltsev.

On July 27, 2016, Dmitry Mironov was summoned to a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, after which he was appointed Acting governor of the Yaroslavl Oblast until the September 2017 election. In June 2017, the United Russia party nominated Dmitry Mironov as a candidate for governor of the Yaroslavl Oblast. In September 10, 2017, on a single voting day in Russia, the election of the governor of the Yaroslavl region, Mironov received 79%. On September 19, he took office for a five-year term.
On December 27, 2018, Dmitry Mironov headed the working group on youth policy of the State Council of the Russian Federation.

Hobbies

He is fond of hockey, participates in matches of the Night Hockey League. With Vladimir Putin, usually plays in opposing teams.

Family
