Doland is a city in eastern Spink County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 180 at the 2010 census.

History

Doland was platted in 1882. The city was named for F. H. Doland, an original owner of the town site. A post office has been in operation in Doland since 1882.

As of the census of 2010, there were 180 people, 95 households, and 47 families residing in the city. The population density was. There were 131 housing units at an average density of. The racial makeup of the city was 98.9% White, 0.6% Native American, and 0.6% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.7% of the population.
There were 95 households, of which 14.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 40.0% were married couples living together, 5.3% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.2% had a male householder with no wife present, and 50.5% were non-families. 46.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 17.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.89 and the average family size was 2.68.
