Doug McKay
Alvin Douglas McKay was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played left wing, shooting left. He played professional hockey from 1947-48 season to the 1951–52 for five different teams in four leagues. He won the Calder Cup in 1950 with Indianapolis Capitals in American Hockey League. He also played one game in finals for Detroit Red Wings in 1950, helping them win the Stanley Cup. McKay's name was left off the cup because he was not a regular member of the team. McKay, however, qualified to be on the cup. McKay and Chris Hayes are the only players who played their only NHL game in the Stanley Cup finals for a Stanley Cup winning team. McKay also did a rare double with teammate Gordon Haidy, winning the Calder Cup and Stanley Cup in the same season. He died in May 2020 at the age of 90.Career statistics
