Dreikönigskirche, Frankfurt


The Dreikönigskirche is a Protestant church and parish in Frankfurt. It is located on the south bank of the Main river in Sachsenhausen.
At the location of the present church, a Gothic hospital chapel was consecrated to the Three Kings in 1340. The present building was designed by in Gothic revival style, and built from 1875 to 1881. It has five bays, with a vaulted main nave, extended in the middle by side naves with impressive stone galleries.
The church was not damaged during World War II. In 1956, stained glass windows by Charles Crodel were installed. A new organ was built by from Berlin in 1961, following a disposition by Helmut Walcha.
