southwest
extremity
of
Brabant Island
, in the
Palmer Archipelago
. It was
discovered
by the
French Antarctic Expedition, 1903–05
, under
Jean-Baptiste Charcot
, who named it for
Vice Admiral
Charles Duperré
of the
French Navy
.
