Durham Federation is a community secondary comprehensive school in , England.

History

Durham Federation is an 11-16 secondary school with students coming from the surrounding villages, including Sacriston, Lanchester, Esh Winning, Witton Gilbert, Langley Park and other areas of North Durham.
In 2018 the two sites, Durham Community Business College and Fyndoune Community College amalgamated and became one provision, with the majority of students being educated on one site, Ushaw Moor. The Sacriston site offers a bespoke nurture provision, alternative education and vocational courses.
In 2018 the Ushaw Moor site had a new creative block added to the site. This block includes modernised catering facilities, an auditorium and state of the art music, technology and art facilities.

Ofsted and academic achievement

The Durham Federation was inspected by OFSTED in March 2019 and was judged to ‘require improvement’ in leadership and management.

Extracurricular activities

Establishment of Evolution Football Academy with professional coaching at the Ushaw Moor site.
In 2018 The Durham Federation was awarded a grant from the British Council to run an Erasmus project with schools from Norway, Turkey, Greece, Poland and Hungary.
