This lizard lives in southern Karoo, South Africa, particularly Prince Alfred District, Farm Botterkraal, and Western Cape Province. It inhabits rocky outcrops.

Behavior

This is a shy lizard, so it hides in rock crevices. It is ovoviviparous.
