EFL Championship Manager of the Month The Manager of the Month is an association football award that recognises the manager adjudged best for each month of the season in the Football League Championship , the second tier of English football. The recipient is chosen by a panel assembled by the League's sponsor and announced alongside the League One and League Two Manager of the Month awards at the beginning of the following month. For sponsorship reasons, from its inception in 2004 until 2010 it was known as the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month award, with the Coca-Cola company sponsoring the league during that period. From the 2010–11 season until the end of the 2012–13 season the league was sponsored by npower and the award was known as the npower Manager of the Month . In July 2013 , it was announced that Sky Bet would become the new sponsor of the English Football League , and since August 2013 the award has been known as the Sky Bet Manager of the Month . In November 2017 it was announced that Sky Bet and the EFL had agreed for Sky Bet to continue its sponsorship up until 2024. Coca-Cola had agreed a three-year deal to become the new sponsor of the English Football League early in 2004, and in June 2004 it was announced that the League would be completely re-branded. The First Division , which had been the second tier of English football since 1992 when 22 clubs broke away to form the Premier League , was renamed The Championship . The Premier League already awarded a Manager of the Month award , since the start of the 1993–94 season, and Coca-Cola introduced a Manager of the Month award for the Championship when they became sponsors at the start of the 2004–05 season ; the first recipient was Paul Jewell for his achievements in August 2004 with Wigan Athletic .Neil Warnock has won the award a record ten times. The awards are designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom by bespoke awards company Gaudio Awards.Month Year Nationality Manager Team Ref 2004.5 2004Wigan Athletic 2004.6 2004Queens Park Rangers 2004.7 2004Wigan Athletic 2004.8 2004Ipswich Town 2004.9 2004Sheffield United 2005.1 2005Cardiff City 2005.2 2005Stoke City 2005.3 2005Sunderland 2005.4 2005Coventry City 2005.5 2005Sheffield United 2005.6 2005Sheffield United 2005.7 2005Reading 2005.8 2005Reading 2005.9 2005Norwich City 2006.1 2006Preston North End2006.2 2006Watford 2006.3 2006Leicester City 2006.4 2006Preston North End 2006.5 2006Cardiff City 2006.6 2006Colchester United 2006.7 2006Burnley 2006.8 2006Derby County 2006.9 2006Birmingham City 2007.1 2007Derby County 2007.2 2007Sunderland 2007.3 2007Sunderland 2007.4 2007Stoke City 2007.5 2007Coventry City 2007.6 2007West Bromwich Albion 2007.7 2007Watford 2007.8 2007Sheffield Wednesday 2007.9 2007Crystal Palace 2008.1 2008Cardiff City 2008.2 2008Stoke City 2008.3 2008Hull City 2008.4 2008West Bromwich Albion 2008.5 2008Wolverhampton Wanderers 2008.6 2008Burnley 2008.7 2008Cardiff City 2008.8 2008Wolverhampton Wanderers 2008.9 2008Reading 2009.1 2009Swansea City 2009.2 2009Coventry City 2009.3 2009Sheffield United 2009.4 2009Preston North End 2009.5 2009Newcastle United 2009.6 2009Newcastle United 2009.7 2009Cardiff City 2009.8 2009Newcastle United 2009.9 2009Nottingham Forest 2010.1 2010Sheffield Wednesday 2010.2 2010Leicester City 2010.3 2010Reading 2010.4 2010Newcastle United 2010.5 2010Queens Park Rangers 2010.6 2010Queens Park Rangers 2010.7 2010Cardiff City 2010.8 2010Bristol City 2010.9 2010Leeds United 2011.1 2011Nottingham Forest 2011.2 2011Swansea City 2011.3 2011Watford 2011.4 2011Reading 2011.5 2011Brighton & Hove Albion2011.6 2011Middlesbrough 2011.7 2011Birmingham City 2011.8 2011Cardiff City 2011.9 2011Middlesbrough 2011.1 2012Birmingham City 2011.2 2012Reading 2011.3 2012Reading 2011.3 2012Millwall 2012.8 2012Blackpool 2012.9 2012Crystal Palace 2012.10 2012Middlesbrough 2012.11 2012Millwall 2012.12 2012Hull City 2013.1 2013Leicester City 2013.2 2013Watford 2013.3 2013Nottingham Forest 2013.4 2013Bolton Wanderers 2013.8 2013Blackpool 2013.9 2013Burnley 2013.10 2013Burnley 2013.11 2013Brighton & Hove Albion 2013.12 2013Derby County 2014.1 2014Leicester City 2014.2 2014Wigan Athletic 2014.3 2014Leicester City 2014.4 2014Burnley 2014.8 2014Wolverhampton Wanderers 2014.9 2014Ipswich Town 2014.10 2014Bournemouth 2014.11 2014Brentford 2014.12 2014Bournemouth 2015.1 2015Middlesbrough 2015.2 2015Norwich City 2015.3 2015Bournemouth 2015.4 2015Watford 2015.8 2015Brighton & Hove Albion 2015.9 2015Middlesbrough 2015.10 2015Brentford 2015.11 2015Ipswich Town 2015.12 2015Middlesbrough 2016.1 2016Hull City 2016.2 2016Burnley 2016.3 2016Rotherham United 2016.4 2016Brighton & Hove Albion 2016.8 2016Huddersfield Town 2016.9 2016Norwich City 2016.10 2016Newcastle United 2016.11 2016Derby County 2016.12 2016Brighton & Hove Albion 2017 .1 2017Reading 2017.2 2017Huddersfield Town 2017.3 2017Wolverhampton Wanderers 2017.4 2017Sheffield Wednesday 2017.8 2017Cardiff City 2017.9 2017Bristol City 2017.10 2017Derby County 2017.11 2017Wolverhampton Wanderers 2017.12 2017Derby County 2018.1 2018Aston Villa 2018.2 2018Cardiff City 2018.3 2018Cardiff City 2018.4 2018Fulham 2018.5 2018Leeds United 2018.6 2018West Bromwich Albion 2018.7 2018Queens Park Rangers 2018.8 2018Norwich City 2018.9 2018Hull City 2019.1 2019Blackburn Rovers 2019.2 2019Sheffield United 2019.3 2019Aston Villa 2019.4 2019Sheffield United 2019.5 2019Swansea City 2019.6 2019Nottingham Forest 2019.7 2019Huddersfield Town 2019.8 2019Leeds United 2019.9 2019Middlesbrough 2020 .1 2020Nottingham Forest 2020.2 2020West Bromwich Albion 2020.3 2020Brentford 2020.4 2020Leeds United
