East Fishkill Fire District


The East Fishkill Fire District provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the town of East Fishkill, New York. The fire district has 4 main fire stations as well as two substations. The district is responsible for and has a population of just over 29,000.

History

The East Fishkill Fire District was founded in October, 1935 with just a single fire company by the name of Hopewell Hose Company. Initially fire protection was provided by this company with mutual aid coming from Fishkill and Beacon. In 1949 the Stormville Fire Company was added, along with the Hillside Lake Fire Company in 1952 and the Wiccopee Fire Company in 1954.
