East Sussex County Hall


East Sussex County Hall is a modern building in St Anne's Crescent, Lewes, East Sussex. It is occupied by East Sussex County Council.

History

The original County Hall was located in the High Street in Lewes. The Council moved to Pelham House in Lewes in 1938 and then it moved on to St Anne's Crescent in Lewes in 1968. The new building, which was designed by Jack Catchpole with sculptures by William George Mitchell, was opened by the Duchess of Kent in October 1968.
