Edina Leković


For over 15 years, Edina Lekovic has served as a leading voice on American Muslims and an inter-community builder between diverse faith traditions. She is a co-founder and board member of , a board member of multifaith house of worship and a layleader at the . From 2017-2018, she was also an Fellow, an opportunity she used to launch her own podcast, which was named one of the best new podcasts of 2018. In each episode of , Edina talks with people she admires about their journey and how they have been able to find opportunities within life's big challenges. Plus, she shares stories from many of her own experiences as a public advocate for American Muslim inclusion.

Biography

Lekovic is a Montenegrin American whose parents are of Bosniak ethnicity that came from Bar, Montenegro in the former Yugoslavia. She completed her graduate work in Communication at Pepperdine University and received her B.A. in American Literature & Culture. During this time, she was the Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Bruin, the third largest paper in Los Angeles. Under her leadership, the staff won a number of national awards, including the Society of Professional Journalists Best of the West in college publications.
Edina lives in Los Angeles with her husband and children.
