Electricity (Silk City and Dua Lipa song)
"Electricity" is a song by British-American music duo Silk City and English singer Dua Lipa. It was released as a single on 6 September 2018 by Columbia Records. "Electricity" was included on the complete edition of Lipa's eponymous debut studio album, as well as a 12-inch vinyl of Silk City's single releases to date exclusively released as part of Record Store Day 2019. The song won Best Dance Recording at the 61st Grammy Awards.
Music video
The music video for "Electricity" was uploaded to Ronson's YouTube account on 5 September 2018. Directed by Bradley & Pablo, the visual contains references to the 2003 Northeast blackout in America whilst Lipa dances in an abandoned warehouse. Ronson and Diplo also appear in the video, giving cameo appearances in a broken-down elevator.Live performances
Lipa performed the song at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on 28 September 2018. She also performed the song along with "One Kiss" at the 2018 American Music Awards. She performed it at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve along with "New Rules" and "IDGAF".Awards and nominations
