Electro-diesel multiple unit


An electro-diesel multiple unit is a form of passenger rail car, with permanently or semi-permanently coupled carriages, that can be powered either by an external electricity supply or by using an onboard diesel engine.
Even if its acronym is EDMU, usually is called BMU.
