Ernest Button


Ernest Linton Button was a New Zealand rugby union and professional rugby league footballer who played representative rugby league for New Zealand.

Playing career

Originally a rugby union player, Button represented Canterbury.
Button switched codes and played for City in the Canterbury Rugby League in 1914. During that season he represented Canterbury and was selected to play for New Zealand in a Test match against the Great Britain Lions. Button later joined Linwood.
