He was awarded the Franz Liszt Prize, the Béla Bartók - Ditta Pásztory Award, the Master Artist of the Hungarian State Opera House, the Great Artist of Hungary Award, the Hungarian Order of Merit, the Kossuth Prize, the Meritorius Artist of Hungary.
