Eshwara Khandre


Eshwar Bhimanna Khandre is an Indian senior Congress politician serving as the MLA from Bhalki and working president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee. He became Congress MP candidate in 2019
General Elections, but lost by large margin by BJP MP, Bhagwanth Khuba.

Personal life

Khandre is one of the sons of former minister Bhimanna Khandre. He is the third member of the Khandre family to be elected to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from the district. His brother is Vijaykumar Khandre who also represented the constituency two times. Khandre is the chairman of Shantivardhak Education Society.

Khandre is a member of the Indian National Congress and. In 2008, Khandre defeated BJP candidate Prakash Khandre by a margin of 20,971 votes. In 2004 election, was defeated by the BJP candidate.
