classification
within the
Kwa
branch
of the
Niger–Congo family
, once
spoken
in the
villages
of
Assinie
and
Mafia
in
Ivory Coast
. The Esuma were
vassals
of the
Sanwi
capital
Krinjabo
, and
shifted
to the
Anyin
and
Nzima
languages
.
