Eusebio Poncela


Eusebio Poncela Aprea is a Spanish actor.
His debut on stage was with the Federico García Lorca play Mariana Pineda.
He appeared in The Cannibal Man and A House Without Boundaries, but his first major role was the protagonist of the Spanish cult movie Arrebato, directed by Iván Zulueta. In that year, he stayed in another great film : Operación Ogro by Guillo Pontecorvo.
Another hit was the TVE miniseries Los gozos y las sombras. With Antonio Banderas, Poncela co-starred in La ley del deseo, directed by Pedro Almodóvar.
He came back to cinema with Martín , by Adolfo Aristarain. Another films: Tuno negro and Remake ; or Intacto, by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, with Max von Sydow.
At Gijón International Film Festival in 2004, he received the Nacho Martinez Award.
