FEED Projects

FEEDis an impact-driven lifestyle brand, making products that help feed the children
of the world. For every product to accessory bought, school meals are donated to children in need here in America and across the globe. Instead of talking about percentages, FEED transparently labels each of their products with a number. THE NUMBER equals how many school meals your purchase helps provide.
FEED was started in 2007 by Lauren Bush Lauren. She was inspired by her travels as a student ambassador with the World Food Programme, where she really got to see hunger first-hand around the world. She wanted to find a way to raise funds and awareness around the issue of hunger. So she combined her love for fashion and philanthropy and designed the first product, the FEED 1 Bag. The number on the product signifies that for
every bag sold, one child in school for one year will be provided with school meals. Now, every FEED product has a number on it, which indicates the number of school meals provided with that purchase.
Over the last 13 years, FEED has provided more than 110 million meals to date globally through the World Food Programme and domestically through Feeding America and No Kid Hungry.

History

FEED was founded by Lauren Bush Lauren in 2007, with a mission to end childhood hunger through fashion and design. Lauren’s idea was to create a tangible, shareable, way to show consumers their impact, by stamping a number on every product that represents the school meals donated by their purchase.

Products

There are a variety of FEED products available for purchase on the FEED website, with new collections launched seasonally, as well as in person, at the FEED Shop & Cafe in DUMBO, Brooklyn. FEED bags are sold in a variety of models, including duffel bags, backpacks, and totes. Every single product provides school meals when purchased, represented by the number stamped on each bag or accessory. The meals are distributed by the brand's giving partners, the UN World Food Programme and No Kid Hungry. One of the very first bags, The FEED 1 bag, provides one child with a year's worth of meals.
