Ferdous Ahmed Qurishi
Ferdous Ahmad Qurishi is a Bangladeshi politician and chairman of the Progressive Democratic Party.Career
Qurishi is a journalist, who worked in Desh Barta. In 2004 he formed the Green Party of Bangladesh. He worked in the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. During the rule of the caretaker government from 2007 to 2009 he called for the formation of alternate parties to be created in Bangladesh. He is the chairman of Progressive Democratic Party in Bangladesh.
His party was formed on July 2007 during the military backed caretaker government rule which supported the Party. The party came to be known as the "Kings Party". He joined the Jatiya Jukta Front, an alliance of political parties to compete in the parliamentary elections in 2008. The alliance broke up in the same year. He was the editor of Desh Bangla newspaper in 2012.
