Flybridge Capital Partners is an early stage venture capital firm with offices in Boston and New York City.

History

In 2001, Flybridge Capital was founded under the name IDG Ventures Boston, an international venture investment branch of the International Data Group. In 2008, the company renamed itself Flybridge Capital Partners after announcing its third fund, for $560 million in assets under management.
IDG was no longer the lead investor, while Princeton University became a limited partner.
The general partners in 2008 David Aronoff, Jeff Bussgang, Michael Greeley, Chip Hazard and Jon Karlen.
Flybridge invested in healthcare, information technology, and consumer companies.
Flybridge Capital Partners sponsors a student scholarship program for Massachusetts college students to foster entrepreneurship in the local business community, called Stay in MA.
It was started in 2008.
It raised about $200 million for a third fund in 2012, and about $125 million for a fourth fund in 2014.
Greeley left the firm in 2013,
and Karlen left in 2014.
Jesse Middleton, previously a founding team member of WeWork, became a general partner in 2016, based in New York City.
