Francesca Sanders
Francesca Sanders is an award winning playwright from Portland, Oregon.
She has been the recipient of the Oregon Literary Fellowship for Drama and the Portland Civic Theatre Guild Fellowship For Theatrical Excellence. She has also been a finalist for the Rosenthal New Play Prize and PlayLabs. She was the winner of The Lakewood Theatre New Play Competition and the Mercury Rising Playwriting Competition.
Sanders won a women's work residency at New Perspectives Theatre in New York and has been commissioned by such places as Portland Center Stage Proving Ground and Integrity Productions. She has been selected to participate in the Seven Devil’s Playwriting Conference and the Kennedy Center Summer Playwriting Intensive.
Her plays Celeste and Starla Save Todd and Win Back the Day and I Become A Guitar were performed at the Bartell Theatre in Madison, Wisconsin and the Kitchen Theatre in New York City, respectively.Works
