Francis Anthony Armstrong Carnwath CBE was Director of the Greenwich Foundation for the Royal Naval College, 1997–2002. He was the son of Sir Andrew Carnwath, KCVO, DL and his first wife Kathleen Marianne. He was appointed a CBE in 1997.
