in the
Borg Massif
of
Queen Maud Land

Antarctica
. It was mapped by
Norwegian
cartographers
from
surveys
and air
photos
by
Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition
and named for
Captain
Kare Friis-Baastad
, a member of the Norwegian
air unit
with the
NBSAE
.
