Fyodor Kalugin
Fyodor Kalugin - Soviet military aircraft pilot, Hero of the Soviet Union. He was born on February 15, 1920 in Znamenskoye and died on May 8, 1976 in Zhukovsky. He graduated from the Gagarin Air Force Academy. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War 1st class, the Order of the Red Star, the Medal "For the Defence of the Caucasus", the Medal "For Battle Merit", the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner, the Hero of the Soviet Union, the Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945".
