Ganges-Kobadak Irrigation Project


Ganges-Kobadak Irrigation Project or G-K Project is a large surface irrigation system of Bangladesh to serve the Southwestern part of Bangladesh. Kushtia, Chuadanga, Magura & Jhenaidah District are served by this project.

History

The survey to set up this project was started in 1951. But the Pakistan government approved this in 1954. The project started in 1954-55 economic year. In 1962-63 some kind of rice was cultivated under this project. The water delivery system completed in 1993.
