Gary Morrison


Gary Lee Morrison is an American former professional ice hockey player. He played in 43 National Hockey League games with the Philadelphia Flyers over parts of three seasons.

Personal life

Morrison met his wife Liza Pederson at the University of Michigan in 1973. They were both student athletes at the University of Michigan; Pederson swam and played field hockey, earning a Varsity letter in swimming and a B.S in Kinesiology. Morrison played ice hockey and baseball, earning a Varsity letter in i ce hockey and a B.A. In Accounting. After marrying in 1982, they had three lovely and talented daughters together.
Their eldest daughter, Suzanne, played basketball and earned a varsity letter at Northwestern University and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering.
Elise played basketball and earned her Varsity letter at Dartmouth College with a degree in international Relations. Caroline Morgan recently returned from a year abroad in Norway, and will attend Smith College, where she plans to play basketball and study marine biology.
Gary and Liza currently reside in Franklin, Michigan. Gary is an active member of the NHL Alumni Organization.
