George Legge (footballer)
George Legge was a Scottish amateur footballer who played in the Scottish Football League for Queen's Park.Legge studied to be an electrical engineer. Soon after the outbreak of the First World War in August 1914, Legge enlisted as a private in the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders. He was killed in action on 29 September 1915, during an advance on Auchy-lez-La-Bassée in the early stages of the Battle of Loos. He is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.
