Georgia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008


Georgia was represented by Diana Gurtskaya in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song "Peace Will Come".

Before Eurovision

National final

29 entries were received by GPB. 12 entries were selected to compete in the national final, which were revealed and presented as both video clips and live performances on 31 December 2007 during the Eurovision Year program.

Final

The final was held in 1 March 2008 at the Sports Palace in Tbilisi, hosted by Sandro Gabisonia, Ana Tshadadze, Natia Tsalaia and Buka Pachkoria. The winner was chosen by televoting, being Diana Gurtskaya with the song "Peace Will Come".

At Eurovision

Georgia qualified from the second semi-final to the final. In the final they performed in 17th position, behind Denmark and before Ukraine where they picked up 83 points.
