Georgios Paraschos


Georgios Paraschos is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He last managed Super League 1 club Xanthi.

Playing career

As a football player, he began his career from the youth academy of P.A.O.K in 1967. He became a professional player in 1971 and played with the Kastoria team until 1985, making appearances for the club in the Alpha Ethniki. He had four caps for the Greece national football team.

Managerial career

As a coach, he started in 1985, but as an amateur, in 1989 he coached Kastoria until 1992. After that he coached teams such as: Trikala F.C., Anagenissi Karditsa, Kavala F.C., Iraklis, APOEL, Aris Thessaloniki, PAS Giannina, Paniliakos F.C., Niki Volos F.C., Akratitos F.C., PAOK, Skoda Xanthi F.C. and Chalkidona F.C.. On 31 January 2011 he replaced Marinos Ouzounidis as manager of Iraklis.
