Gheorghe Staicu
Gheorghe "Gigi" Staicu is a Romanian former professional footballer and manager. As a footballer, Staicu played for Steaua București and was considered the first player that was grew up only by "the red and blues".[. fcsteaua.ro ] After retirement, Staicu started his manager career and was the manager of many Divizia A clubs, among them: Olimpia Satu Mare, Bihor Oradea, Universitatea Cluj or UM Timișoara.[ Staicu was also the assistant coach of Romania, in the spell of Ștefan Kovacs and was for years the manager of the olympic team.]
In 2007, Staicu retired from football and since 2012 he is hospitalized in an asylum for the elderly.[ It seems, according to sources, that he would suffer from Alzheimer's disease.]Honours
