Gilles Marcotte
Gilles Marcotte - Canadian essayist, writer, journalist, literary critic, music critic and university professor. He was born on December 8, 1925 in Sherbrooke and died on October 20, 2015 in Montreal. He graduated from the Université de Montréal, the Université Laval. He was awarded the Prix Québec-Paris, the Order of Canada, the Canada Council Senior Arts Fellowship, the Prix Athanase-David, the Officer of the National Order of Quebec, the Marcel Vincent Price, the Prix littéraire du Gouverneur général, the Order of North American Francophones, the Governor General's Awards.
