Giovanna Botteri


Giovanna Botteri is an Italian journalist.
She was born in Trieste. Her father was Guido Botteri, a journalist with Italy's national public broadcasting company, RAI, and her mother was a Montenegrin.
She holds a Ph.D. in history of cinema from the Sorbonne. Giovanna Botteri is an Italian television foreign policy journalist. From 1991 to 1996, she covered the conflict in Croatia and Bosnia. After featuring with Michele Santoro in the TV programme Samarcanda, Giovanna Botteri worked as a war correspondent for RAI3's news programme TG3 from Algeria, South Africa, Iran, Albania and Kosovo.
