Gjergj Xhuvani


Gjergj Xhuvani was an Albanian film director, screenwriter, and producer. He graduated from Tirana's Academy of Arts in 1986.
His 2001 film Slogans was Albania's submission to the 74th Academy Awards for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but was not accepted as a nominee. His 2009 film was selected as the Albanian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 83rd Academy Awards, but it didn't make the January shortlist.
