Go KL City Bus


Go KL City Bus is a free bus service that serving the city centre of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There are currently seven lines on the network. The service owner is Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia and the operators are Konsortium Transnasional and Rapid Bus.
Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Bukit Bintang and Chinatown area are the first coverage area to enjoy the service since it was launched.
This free service has been in operation since 31 August 2012 and until now has been increased from two routes to four different circular routes that can be identified by the color of the routes such as Green, Purple, Red and Blue. An Orange and Pink route was added in early 2019. Turqouise line was added in October 2019.
Open to residents and tourists, these services can be used at the Go KL City Bus official bus stop. Most bus stops are in close proximity to tourist attractions, major shopping centers and easy way to connect through rail transit services such as KTM Komuter, Rapid KL and ERL.

All buses make a circular one-way route clockwise based on . These routes are not parallel with the bus route with a fare such as Rapid KL buses to avoid competition on passengers load. Therefore, Go KL City Bus passengers actually who are traveling within the Central Business District, saving money and looking for a free ride.

Bus interchange

To distinguish this free bus service within CBD with other buses, all buses are painted with light purple for easier recognition. The current fleet consists of more than 20 buses including Scania K-series and Alexander Dennis Enviro200s which entered service in 2015. Normally the Enviro200 will serve the Blue Line and the Red Line while the Scania K-series buses will serve the Green Line and the Purple Line, though the Scania K-series buses might serve the Blue Line and the Red Line as well. Past fleet includes NGV buses from Konsortium Transnasional and King Long buses. These buses are no longer serving on these routes and being used in other services. The frequency of buses during off-peak hour is expected to be in 10 minutes and in 5 minutes for peak hours, depending on the traffic. For people with disabilities, each bus has a wheelchair access ramp. Wi-Fi is also available for the convenience of passengers.
