Gokul Medh


Gokul Medh is an archaeological site in Bangladesh. It is an excavated mound in the village of Gokul under Shibganj Upazila of Bogra. It is known locally as Behula Lakshindarer Basar Ghar, and it is also popularly called Lakshindar Medh.

Location

It is about southwest of Mahasthangarh citadel and far from Bogra town.

History

The Archaeology Department of Bangladesh estimates that it was built between the 7th and 12th centuries. It is said that it was the bridal chamber of Behula.
