Golden bulbul Golden bulbuls passerine birds in the genus Thapsinillas , of the bulbul family , Pycnonotidae . They are found in the Moluccas , an archipelago in eastern Indonesia . There is only one subpopulation .Formerly known as a single species in the genus Alophoixus , the golden bulbul has since been re-classified into its own genus and split into three separate species in 2008:
