Gorakhpur (Lok Sabha constituency)


Gorakhpur is a Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. The Member of Parliament is Ravi Kishan, who has won the election as a BJP party candidate in 2019. This seat was vacated by Yogi Adityanath after becoming the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
In the 2004 Lok Sabha Elections, the constituency had 1,432,002 eligible voters, of whom 48.13% exercised their franchise. There were nine candidates. Election was conducted at 1227 polling stations, and 689,248 valid votes were counted. Yogi Adityanath of the Bharatiya Janata Party was elected by a margin of 142,309 votes.
