The governorates are divided into 264 "delegations" or "districts", and further subdivided into municipalities, and sectors.
Tunisia has 6 regions in the entire country. Near the capital, Tunis, it is mostly semi-arid. However, in the southern regions, it is very arid due to the Saharan Desert.
