History
2009
It was revealed in October 2008 that Greek broadcaster ERT was considering a withdrawal from the 2009 contest after five years of participation due of the relatively low television ratings for the Contest and an objection to using children. ERT officially withdrew in late April 2009 citing the economic crisis at the time as a factor.2014
In January 2014, it was reported that NERIT were interested in taking part, taking over from defunct broadcaster ERT. These rumours were later confirmed to be untrue.Participation
