Greg Schultz


Greg Schultz is an American political advisor who served as the campaign manager for the Joe Biden 2020 presidential campaign until April 2020.

Early life and education

Schultz was born in Parma, Ohio and raised in North Royalton, Ohio, where he graduated from North Royalton High School. Schultz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science from Ohio State University. He then earned a Master of Education, also from Ohio State University.

Career

Before entering politics, Schultz was the executive director of Business Forward, a group that organized meetings between corporations and government officials.
Schultz worked on the Hillary Clinton 2008 presidential campaign from February to March 2008. Shultz served as Ohio director for the Barack Obama 2012 presidential campaign. He served as Biden's senior political advisor during the second term of the Obama administration, and later became Joe Biden's senior advisor in 2013, also serving as Special Assistant to President Obama from 2013 to 2017.
In 2019, he became Biden's 2020 presidential campaign manager. In April 2020, Schultz vacated the role of campaign manager and was succeeded by Jennifer O’Malley Dillon, though he remains a senior advisor to the campaign, and was assigned to be a surrogate to battleground Midwestern states.
